We proudly announce that we have obtained the environmental / sustainability label »Green Key«

If we were to give a color to our dear Slovenia, most of us would probably choose green. Everywhere we look, the green color surrounds us, be it our vast forests (we are proud that they cover 58.3% of the country), green fields and rivers.

Green also symbolizes our future, because with a conscious attitude towards the environment, we make sure that we pass on a cleaner and more pleasant world to our descendants.

Since its establishment, Hotel Bau Maribor has been striving to offer our esteemed guests hospitality in an environmentally friendly ambience, which is reflected in the equipment of our rooms and an excellent breakfast consisting of fresh and local ingredients. Being aware of the importance of caring for the environment, we decided to go one step further this year. We joined the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism, obtained the Slovenia Green certificate and joined the rapidly growing community of environmentally friendly accomodation Green Key. By acquiring this prestigious eco-label, we enable our guests to contribute to the protection of the environment by choosing accomodation with this certificate.

We have been taking care of the pleasant and safe accoommodation of our guests for 15 years. We are proud that more of them trust us every year. Our regular guests know this well. However, because we also want to inform others that Maribor is a safe destination and we are a safe accommodation, we have obtained the Slovenia Green Accommodation label, the national Green and Safe logo and the international Safe Travels logo, which is awarded by the World travel & tourism council.

With these logos, we are committed to further ensuring the safety of our guests, as well as a responsible and sustainable attitude towards the environment.

With our help, you will be able to truly and authentically experience Maribor and everything that our beautiful and green Styria has to offer, with the lowest possible carbon footprint.
